Building in Nemanjina street 9, planned to be the headquarters of the Ministry of Construction, represents the last major public edifice built for the needs of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Building the edifice started in 1939 according to the project of the architect Gojko Todić, and finished during German occupation of Belgrade in WWII.
The edifice endured significant damages throughout the aggresion of the NATO forces on Serbia and Montenegro in 1999. Reconstruction and upgrading of the building started in 2006, and restoration-conservation works on the facade and entrances were done in the period October 2007-December 2008:
- Removing graffiti by using concentrated detergents ECO RECEPT 01, ECO RECEPT 02 and water under pressure of 120bar;
- Cleaning and washing the facade of artificial stone with the detergents ECO RECEPT 01, ECO RECEPT 02
and water under pressure; - Cleaning and washing the stone at the main entrance and the socle of carved stone with the detergents
ECO RECEPT 01, ECO RECEPT 02 and water under pressure; - Repair of damages on the facade;
- Making new artificial stone on the facade;
- Restoration of facade plastics;
- Repair and restoration of cracks on the facade;
- Repair of damages on the stone socle;
- Restoration of carved stone socle, making new joints;
- Restoration of damaged stone at the entrances;
- Setting up new elements of stone massif at the main entrance;
- Repair and setting up candelabrums at the main entrance;
- Protection - conservation of facades of artificial stone with the products ECO IMPREGNIR K and
ECO IMPREGNIR S; - Conservation of carved stone socle with the products ECO IMPREGNIR K and ECO IMPREGNIR MK;
- Conservation of stone at the main entrance with the products ECO IMPREGNIR K and ECO IMPREGNIR MK.
