Building in Nemanjina street 9 – Belgrade

 

Building in Nemanjina street 9, planned to be the headquarters of the Ministry of Construction, represents the last major public edifice built for the needs of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Building the edifice started in 1939 according to the project of the architect Gojko Todić, and finished during German occupation of Belgrade in WWII.
The edifice endured significant damages throughout the aggresion of the NATO forces on Serbia and Montenegro in 1999. Reconstruction and upgrading of the building started in 2006, and restoration-conservation works on the facade and entrances were done in the period October 2007-December 2008:
